In the second edition of February 2018 ESIT fills the first page and is dedicated an article.
We are "the first time ever to create a common foundation and a universally agreed framework for the future in what has so far been a badly fragmented research landscape".

One of our supervisors, Dr. Tobias Kleinjung, working at University Hospital Zurich, gave an Interview to the german radio channel "Deutschlandfunk".
He talked about cochlea implantation for tinnitus cure in patients with hearing loss or deafness.

We are proud to present the first ESIT article titled: "Innovations in Doctoral Training and Research on Tinnitus- The European School on Interdisciplinary Tinnitus Research (ESIT) Perspective".
All our supervisors have worked together to underline the exclusiveness of ESIT as an interdisciplinary scientific tinnitus project explaining it's background, purposes and objectives.
Further the reader is given details about the project management, its components and work packages and how we manage to provide a wide interdisciplinary network of sciences related to tinnitus.

All of our early-stage researchers are now appointed and are just at the beginning of their PhD journey. Getting to know one another is an essential part of this journey. So all of our students gathered together in Warsaw, hosted by Dr Marzena Mielczarek, Medical University of Lodz. The week was intermixed with an orientation to the unique ESIT programme, designing aspects of the future training curriculum, team building, and expert introductory lectures.
